I completed my BA from Argosy University in 2019, majoring in Psychology with a minor in child and adolescents. I then went on to complete my Master’s in counseling and psychological services at the University of Saint Mary’s in 2021. In the past 4 years I have work in inpatient, outpatient and group settings. Having completed my practicum at the Domestic Abuse Project where I then went on to work in a outpatient setting with children, teens and adults. Currently my most recent outpatient setting has been focused in trauma informed care and transitional care. A major focus in my work has been trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, OCD and Panic Disorder and with those who have experienced domestic violence.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we will meet for a 30 min consult where I will gather information. I want to make sure you and I both are a good fit because, "finding a good therapist is like finding a friend. " Not all personalities click or connect and that is okay. Therapy should be your safe space, where you can open up and that is my goal to make sure you are comfortable and that I can meet your current mental health needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
It is important to me that you are getting the best version of me and I can meet you with where you are at in our sessions together. My strengths shine the most when were are having a back and fourth, studies have shown venting is a great way to externalize but the work begins when were can peel back the layers and process together. I believe my warm and friendly demeanor is one of my biggest strengths, I am here to ride along side you in your times of need with you in support. Psychoeducation is another of my strengths, if you are looking for the why, what, how, when and where; together we use science based approaches that have been demonstrated in effectiveness through research and evidence.
