Are you ready to regain control of your thoughts, stop worrying as much, and feel more grounded or present in the moment? I'm Sarah Theimer, an LPC and CCTP-II who specializes in anxiety treatment. I'm also a Christian and the proud wife of a first responder. I utilize evidenced based approaches to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR. I aim to keep sessions goal oriented and structured to assist individuals in meeting their goals.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session can often be difficult and filled with a wide range of emotions. With that, this session will be used for both of us to get to know each other better and make sure we are a good fit to keep working together. I will ask questions about your history and presenting concern(s) in attempt to know you and your situation a little better while building rapport and trust. I will also provide space for you to ask any questions you may have and make the session as collaborative as possible.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As a therapist I believe my greatest strength is meeting client's where they are and keeping sessions goal oriented. I strive to set clear and concrete goals with client's and make every effort to focus sessions on progression towards meeting those goals.
