Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker located in Chicago, Illinois. I work with people who desire a better understanding of who they are, who their authentic self is and then integrating the authentic self with their identity structure. I also work with those making life transition(s) and require a caring and listening ear to help guide them through the process. I provide individual, couples and family counseling to adults and adolescents.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
We will spend a brief amount of time joining, sharing a bit of your family background, exploring your desired goals and outcomes and exploring any know resistances to change that you may be aware of. It is important to me that a client and I connect. Much of the first session will focus on me listening to you. We will have a conversation, albeit somewhat guided.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 30 years bringing broad experience and perspective to my sessions. I believe that joining with a client is paramount to establishing trust. Trusting that your provider cares for you, has your best interest at heart and provides you with reasonable and doable solutions is key to growth. If we don’t connect, no harm/no foul. We agree to move on and I will assist with that process, if necessary.
