Congratulations on taking this step towards your personal wellness! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Kentucky. National Certified Counselor (NCC) certified. I received my Masters degree from Walden University of Minnesota and my undergraduate degree from Murray State University in Kentucky. I help adults struggling with anxiety, personality and mood disorders, depression and various women’s issues to become the best versions of themselves.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session is a starting point for establishing a client/counselor connection, which is essential to the therapeutic experience. We will start with brief introductions and review intake information. You and I will and identify expectations for therapy then outline your needs and goals which will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in your follow-up sessions. After that, we will be ready to dive into the specific challenges you're facing.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am clinical and conscientious but like to maintain a relaxed atmosphere in session. I love humor when appropriate. I enjoy providing various resources to clients and, at times, homework (unless you specifically state this is not what you want). I care about and respect my clients and will always do my best for them. I understand that we are all just people trying to figure out the puzzle pieces of our lives and I am here to help you through it.
