I am Randy Wynglass, a US Navy and USMC veteran, who served as a combat medic, 2006-11. I help patients challenge unhelpful beliefs, rooted from early childhood impacting their functioning and ability to maintain their well being over their life span . I team with patients to make them feel supported, encouraged and guided by the best practices and techniques available to assist them in achieving their personal goals and aspirations.

My greatest strengths are my listening skills, my ability to deduce information that I hear in session in order to reflect back my accurate understanding of the patients concerns, my sense of humor and attention to detail and structure are also strengths .

This patients who understand the value of “ doing the work”, utilizing thought records , reading suggested materials and practicing skills taught in session. I work better with patients who are comfortable working and learning from a black professional, and embraces diversity in our field of marital and family counseling . I have five years of experience teaching patients cognitive fusion and defusion skills to better align their behavior with their core value system .
I have 10 years of experience utilizing CBT tools, to track and modify unhelpful thoughts , and beliefs that impact emotional well being. Challenging distorted thoughts and perceptions.
I also identify as Christian and have 5 years of experience providing biblical guidance to individuals and families struggling with faith concerns.
I am also EMDR trained and have been practicing for two years utilizing EMDR to target distressing memories .
I have 10 years of experience providing grief support to individuals and families .
