New to Grow
I am a 36-year-old Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) originally from Los Angeles. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in nursing while serving in the United States Air Force, where I gained valuable experience supporting individuals through medical and personal challenges. I have been practicing therapy since 2018 and am passionate about helping adults navigate life stressors, emotional difficulties, and personal growth. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and supportive, and I strive to create a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing process.
In our first session, the focus is on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from treatment. I will also ask some questions to better understand your emotional, mental, and life circumstances so we can begin to identify the most helpful direction for our work together. This session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of my approach and decide whether it feels like a good fit. You are encouraged to ask questions, share at your own pace, and let me know what feels most important to you. Together, we will begin to outline goals for therapy and discuss what ongoing sessions may look like moving forward.
What often stands out in my approach is my focus on both practical coping skills and deeper emotional insight. Clients often experience increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and greater confidence in their ability to navigate challenges and make meaningful changes in their lives.
My ideal clients are adults who are navigating a wide range of life challenges and are seeking a supportive, collaborative space to better understand themselves and make meaningful change. I am best positioned to serve individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, relationship difficulties, stress related to work or family demands, and challenges with emotional regulation. Given my extensive social work background, I am particularly experienced in working with individuals who may be dealing with complex life circumstances, including limited support systems, housing or financial stressors, medical issues, or past involvement with systems such as healthcare, military, or community services. I bring a holistic perspective that considers both emotional well-being and environmental factors impacting a person’s functioning.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals identify negative thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. I work collaboratively with clients to explore how thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are connected, while helping them build practical skills to manage anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life transitions. I focus on creating realistic goals and empowering clients to make positive behavioral changes that support long-term emotional wellness.
Motivational Interviewing
I utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients strengthen their motivation for change and overcome ambivalence. Through a supportive and nonjudgmental approach, I help individuals explore their personal values, increase self-awareness, and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes in their lives. I have found this approach especially effective when working with clients facing substance use issues, behavioral challenges, adjustment difficulties, and personal growth goals.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I utilize a person-centered approach to create a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel safe to openly express themselves. I believe that each client is the expert of their own life, and I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. Through active listening and collaborative communication, I help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences while encouraging self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, grief, or other distressing life events. I help clients understand how traumatic experiences can impact thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and overall functioning while providing a safe and supportive environment for healing. Using evidence-based interventions, I assist individuals in developing healthy coping skills, emotional regulation techniques, and strategies to reduce trauma-related symptoms such as anxiety, depression, fear, anger, and avoidance behaviors.
