My name is Olayinka Okin. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been working in the Mental Health and Social Services fields for about 7 years serving Fresno and Madera County. I have 4 years experience working in Psychiatry facilities and 1 year plus experience working in Mobile Crisis. I have provided services to individuals, children, youth, and family.
What my clients can expect from the first session is information about how therapy works. I think it is crucial for my clients to understand the basic fundamentals of a therapeutic session to ensure clarity and realistic expectations. My clients can also expect a Licensed Therapist who is empathetic and non-biased because life can be challenging and I want to ensure that my client feels safe in sessions to process their emotions adequately.
My greatest strength as a Licensed Therapist is my empathetic and empowerment approach.
Clients are navigating life issues that appears in forms of anxiety, past, or recent trauma that are manifesting in suicidal ideations, irrational thoughts, and maladaptive behaviors. As a Licensed Therapist, my main goal is to provide healthy coping skills and problem solving interventions that provide support to the client in managing difficult life's challenges. I provide treatment goals that are tailored to each individual client needs because therapy is not "a one size fits all."

My therapist created a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space. She was open, friendly, and genuinely positive, which made it easier to share what I was going through. I always felt heard and respected, and she had a way of guiding conversations that felt supportive rather than clinical or distant. Her approach helped me feel more hopeful and grounded, even during difficult topics. I truly appreciated their kindness, professionalism, and steady encouragement throughout the process.”
