I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience helping people heal, grow, and cultivate self-love. I support clients in building confidence, overcoming anxiety or low self-worth, and transforming challenges into personal empowerment. Together, we focus on uncovering strengths, clarifying purpose, and creating meaningful change, so you can step fully into the life you want to live.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding your goals, challenges, and what brought you to therapy. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story in a safe, nonjudgmental space, and I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and areas you want to grow. Together, we will begin to identify priorities and discuss how we can work collaboratively to help you build self-confidence, manage stress or anxiety, and move toward the life you want to live. You don’t need to have all the answers—this session is about exploration and establishing a foundation for your journey toward self-love, empowerment, and personal growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring over 20 years of experience guiding clients through healing, personal growth, and self-discovery. My approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual, focusing on building self-love, confidence, and resilience. I help clients transform emotional pain into empowerment, develop practical coping strategies, and clarify their purpose, so they can take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live. What stands out is my ability to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, heard, and motivated to make lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with individuals who are ready to prioritize self-love, personal growth, and emotional well-being. My ideal clients may be struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, depression, past trauma, or challenges with stress and life transitions. They are motivated to explore their strengths, develop coping skills, and transform emotional pain into empowerment. Together, we focus on building confidence, clarifying purpose, and creating meaningful change, helping clients step fully into the life they want to live.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice as a therapist, I bring over 20 years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients address issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to their distress. By incorporating CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring and behavioral activation, I guide clients in developing practical skills and coping strategies that promote mental well-being and support them in achieving their therapy goals effectively.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

For the past 20 years, I have embraced a Person-Centered approach, creating a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. I focus on providing a safe space where clients feel fully accepted and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges at their own pace. By prioritizing the client’s autonomy and self-discovery, I help facilitate personal growth, enhance self-acceptance, and foster meaningful insights that lead to lasting, positive change.

Grief Therapy

In my practice as a therapist, I specialize in grief therapy, supporting individuals through the profound emotional journey of loss. Using a compassionate, client-centered approach, I help clients navigate the stages of grief, process complex emotions, and find meaning in their loss. Through techniques such as narrative therapy, mindfulness, and supportive counseling, I provide a safe space for clients to honor their feelings, adapt to life changes, and ultimately integrate their loss into a renewed sense of self and purpose.

Eclectic

As an eclectic therapist, I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, tailored to each client’s unique needs and preferences. By integrating elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness practices, and more, I collaborate with clients to create a customized treatment plan. This flexible approach allows me to address a wide variety of mental health concerns, empowering clients to explore different modalities and discover strategies that best support their personal growth, healing, and overall well-being.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my practice as a therapist, I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients cultivate psychological flexibility and embrace values-driven living. ACT emphasizes mindfulness, acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings, and commitment to taking meaningful action aligned with personal values. I guide clients in identifying their values, clarifying goals, and developing mindfulness skills to navigate challenges with greater resilience and authenticity. Through ACT, clients learn to relate differently to their thoughts and emotions, fostering a deeper sense of fulfillment, purpose, and well-being.

I feel like I always leave my sessions with Claudette learning about a new aspect of my personality that I was unaware of. She asks amazing questions and listens to you words with intention, and always has valuable solutions to overcome what you're going through, or ways to think about things from a different perspective. My entire life has gotten exponentially better since finding her 2 years ago, I don't know where I'd be right now in life without her sessions!
