Hello there! I am a Northwestern University graduate in Mental Health Counseling and the founder of Hopefinder LLC, a private practice based on the belief hope is the most powerful emotion of all. I have 5+ years of experience in Mental Health Counseling and have worked with a variety of mental health concerns and disorders. I specialize in mood disorders.
First sessions typically start with a biopsychosocial and an initial diagnostic assessment. This session's goal is to better understand what brought you to me, and help us solidify an effective treatment plan moving forward
I am a compassionate provider, that has an uncanny gift in getting to the heart of the problem.
I want to work alongside you to help you learn how to cope with the slings and arrows of life. My goal is to foster in you the skills and confidence it takes to thrive.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT as a treatment modality to help you focus on your goals and values. ACT uses evidence-based approaches to help you solidify a sense of self and personal purpose. I strive to help you build your self-esteem and navigate your inner compass.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT as an effective evidence-based treatment to challenge your thoughts and help you modify behaviors that may be causing you distress. CBT is an effective tool to facilitate transformation, and is a powerful means of gently starting to incite change in your life

I felt hopeful after our session. I felt that she truly listened and follow-up questions were very fitting.

She really listens carefully and reacts as a human, not a police officer. She is very structured (You will like that if you have OCD and ADHD). She talks less about your problem but more about the solution. Maaria will suggest a treatment plan in the first session (depending on the case, of course) that might work and sounds positive about its implementation and effectiveness. I left the first session happy and convinced that she can help, and I can't wait for the next session.

She is one of the best therapist I have ever had. She calls you out and pushes you to the core. My partner and I love this. Compassionate, yet knowledgeable.
