Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York. I received my Masters Degree from Case Western Reserve University and have been practicing for 8 years, working primarily with adults 18 and older. I've worked with individuals and groups in partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. I help adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, become the best versions of themselves.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then begin exploring the specific challenges you're facing, as well as some of your goals. We'll then begin doing some gentle somatic exercises in order to increase sensory awareness and help you begin to be present with whatever emotions or sensations you're experiencing. This will be introduced very gradually, and we'll discuss the purpose of each exercise, answering any questions that you might have.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I utilize a variety of evidence-based tools and focus on the important connection between body and mind in our work together. My specialized training in stress and trauma allows me to help clients who are in a state of despair about their loss of control, hopelessness, helplessness, shame, and guilt. I truly believe that people have the ability to break free from long-standing and harmful patterns or perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
