Seeking help is challenging and can be one of the most rewarding things one can do. Self-compassion is important to me and nothing inspires me more than being able to offer hope when individuals are navigating life challenges and embarking on a healing journey to putting their most authentic self forward. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our initial session we will work together to determine if my experience and intersectional identities are aligned with you and your goals. We will complete the assessment process and work collaboratively together to develop a treatment plan so you can begin to work towards what healing looks like for you as an individual.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am a first generation immigrant who is bilingual in Somali and English. I identify with both my Somali heritage and American identity. My greatest strength is my ability to provide a calm and validating space to my clients while using humor. This allows me to be my most authentic self when working with you. Faith is important to me and fuels my compassion towards all walks of life. My aim is to allow you to the space to incorporate faith in our work together if this is important for you as well.
