I like to consider myself a behavioral Psychologist who has deeply studied and is very familiar with the science of behavior and science in general. I use humor, informality and warmth to help people work towards feeling and functioning better. A passionate dog lover, I am the proud owner of English Springer Spaniels. My practice is unique in its pet-friendly approach, encouraging patients to bring their dogs to sessions. I also specializes in pet bereavement, offering dedicated support to those dealing with the loss of a beloved pet.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
You will be warmly welcomed and interviewed. To make you comfortable, humor may be employed. The interview will start with finding out your reason for coming in. Then your present status will be detailed, and your full history taken. The interview proceeds with a thorough mental status psycho-diagnostic interview and if you are suspected of ADHD, you will be also administered a very well standardized rating scale. The psycho-diagnostic formulation is then discussed and a treatment plan is suggested based on the interview data. Sessions then focus on problem solving, perspective taking, anxiety reduction, and mood improvement.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I rely on 38 years of experience, great training by leaders in the field of CBT and provide evidence based short term treatment.
