Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wyoming, Utah, and Tennessee. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and have been practicing for 7 years as a therapist after working in the healthcare field at various institutions, hospitals and rehabilitation facilities in different capacities since 2009. In addition to being clean and sober for the past 33 years, I engaged successfully in a business career for the last 40 before deciding to pursue social work full time. I have experience in helping clients reduce their depression, stress, and anxiety, move beyond addiction, understanding and reduce the negative impact of codependency, improve their relationships, create self-esteem, and foster confidence. I attempt to work with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. My goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to achieve the changes you wish to see.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Once I hear from the client about their problems and issues, I attempt to orient them to the broader context of outpatient care by explaining the role of the Medical Provider, the Therapist, and Support Services in providing them with what they need to facilitate the progress they seek in addressing their problems. Once I answer any questions they have about those areas, I introduce them to a client centered plan to increase their self-awareness and ability to self-care in ways that are effective and transformative.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Over many years of life and recovery I have come to realize the clarity and personal power that one achieves when they turn their attention inward. Then the client can use their own internal experience to guide their search for identity and independence. This can be a transformational path to addressing their problems and finding their future.
