Hello! I am a trauma informed mental health therapist and have been practicing for over 30 years. I received my Master's degree in clinical social work from Arizona State University. I have worked significantly with issues of child abuse, domestic violence, trauma. child loss, grief, anxiety and depression. I work with adults, teens, and children age 5 and up. I have provided counseling services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families address unresolved trauma, life transitions and stressors, to achieve wellness in their lives. Throughout my journey some of my greatest inspiration and insights have come through my relationship with my husband of over 25 years and our 4 amazing children.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session I will work to provide a safe, comfortable place for individuals to discuss their lives and their struggles. I focus on building a trusting partnership (therapeutic relationship) with my client. We will spend time discussing their history and therapeutic goals. I want my client to feel that he/she/they can be heard. I also want my client to believe that, through an appropriate therapeutic process, there is much hope for the achievement of positive change.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As a mental health therapist, my greatest strengths include empathetic listening, creating a non-judgmental space, and tailoring therapeutic approaches to individual needs. I strive for cultural sensitivity, foster collaborative relationships with clients, and continuously integrate new insights to enhance the effectiveness of my practice. I genuinely care about the well-being of others. I strive to demonstrate compassion, warmth, and dedication to supporting others in their journey towards healing and personal growth.
