I have 12 years of clinical experience working with teens, young adults and adults. In addition to working with common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, etc., I have broader experience working with children of divorce, trauma, grief and LGBTQAI+ populations. We all have a fundamental need to feel known, cared for and understood and I am honored to have a career in which I can be that person for others. The therapeutic process is hard to explain and better to be experienced. As we feel known, cared for and understood by not only another but with time, ourselves, it’s a special kind of magic that can bring about deep healing and shifts. A little bit about me; I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and have also lived in Boston, Massachusetts and Boulder, Colorado. I am now back home, married and a mother of two wild and wonderful boys. Some things that I love are music, nature, hidden gems, good food, deep talks, movies, a good workout, and adventure!
Topics and themes will present themselves during sessions and we will take time with them, using strategies and tools to develop awareness, understanding, insight and healing. Our time together is a mix of practical/tool-based strategies combined with deeper work.
I have specialized training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Clients have shared with me that I make them feel comfortable quickly, am nonjudgemental, understand them and their complexities and ask good questions. I feel honored to do this work and love getting to know my clients in a real, deep way!
