Hello, my name is Michelle. I believe therapy is a time to examine internalized experiences that shape our perspectives and behaviors. Engaging in introspective work together can challenge us to reframe maladaptive thoughts. I aim to assist clients with managing emotional dysregulation and symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and trauma in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I hope to foster growth and strengthen coping skills during difficult transitional points in a person’s life. I am interested in exploring my clients' family of origin and attachment styles. I have a special sensitivity to sociocultural factors and intergenerational trauma. I embrace the complexities that make up the lived experiences of my clients and affirm their unique identities.
The initial intake is a time to better understand your presenting concerns and overview of your background history.
Life presents us with the full spectrum of positive and negative experiences. Learning skills to process and cope with difficult moments allows us to grow and thrive. I hope to assist you with maximizing your internal processes and gaining meaningful insights. Please review the cost of services before scheduling for self-pay clients; there is a 3.5% electronic processing fee added to the cost of service. Self-pay clients can request a superbill to submit to their health insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement varies based on the individual's insurance plan and should be directly coordinated with the carrier. Initial Intake/Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation: $180.00 Psychotherapy: $150.00 Couples therapy: $250.00 Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment time or no shows: $50.00 Because of the limitations of virtual therapy sessions, individuals with high acuity symptoms may not be suited for my practice. Please note that I am not accepting couples/conjoint therapy clients through insurance at this time. Couples/conjoint sessions will be billed the cash pay rate. Please reach out 48 hours prior to session to request for additional couples therapy consents.
Therapy offers an unbiased environment to think critically and objectively about how one's experiences shape their thoughts and behaviors. I believe therapy is a layered process that builds on itself. Together we will seek to identify maladaptive patterns and challenge deeply ingrained ideas and behaviors that cause distress.
