With 25 years of experience as a therapist, I am deeply committed to aiding individuals facing a spectrum of emotional and life hurdles. My approach is rooted in collaboration, where we journey together, uncovering pathways to manage challenges and forge meaningful change. Dedicated to navigating these complexities with empathy and expertise, I integrate diverse modalities like cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy. From anxiety and depression to isolation, grief, and loss, my aim is to guide individuals toward a purposeful existence, helping them regain control of their lives. I believe in tailoring my approach to each individual, facilitating a deeper understanding of oneself and fostering effective coping mechanisms. By delving into personal experiences within the context of one’s life, including family background and current circumstances, we will co-create a roadmap for achieving desired goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will do an assessment including family background and life history and anything else that the client would like me to know about them. I provide space for the client to ask questions, share their expectations from therapy and identify goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I encourage and support clients in developing their voice. My approach is laid back and conversational. I work on striking a balance between holding space for clients to lead the process and offering my insights.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In using CBT, I work with individuals to gain a better understanding of their emotions, thoughts and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress and diminished functioning. With this method, I assist people in seeing the important interconnections between feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Understanding the impact of patterns of thinking, can lead to a healthier adaptation to life’s challenges. This method can also include identifying coping strategies and problem-solving skills.

Integrative

This approach allows for an indvidualized and flexible approach utilizing different therapeutic orientations. The different therapeutic frameworks can include CBT, psychodynamic and family systems modalities.
