Hello, everyone; my name is David Balogun. I’m a Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who specializes in caring for mental health patients across the lifespan: Children, adults, and the elderly. I’m licensed in Georgia and Iowa and accept clients from both states. I treat all cases of mental health disorders, but I don’t prescribe narcotics or controlled substances. For now, and till further notice, I offer care virtually via Zoom. Your first consultation with me will endear you to my care as I believe strongly in building therapeutic rapport with my clients and working with each client individually based on the peculiarity of their cases. During your visit/consultation, I may ask you to answer some questions based on your complaint, using assessment tools like “GAD7, PHQ9 etc. and may occasionally refer you to other caregivers, including therapists, rehab centers, and others as needed for your positive outcomes. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first meeting, we shall start with a brief but warm introduction; thereafter, I will listen attentively to hear from you the precise reasons for your visit. Then, we are going to work together to arrive at a workable plan of care that best fits your situation.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My treatment methods include pharmacotherapy, referral for psychotherapy, if necessary, or a combination of both pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.
