Hi there, I'm Emily. Ask yourself, “Am I the Best Me?” What is the answer? Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? Perhaps you are not sure what you are feeling or why you are feeling a certain way. Not to worry... Together, we will identify what's not working for you and get you back to balance or take the journey towards being the "Best You." I am an independently licensed clinical social worker in Massachusetts, Ohio and Virginia, with over 20 years as a professional. I have experience in helping clients with managing depression, stress and anxiety, anger, feeling overwhelmed, motivation, self-esteem, and self-confidence. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. Whether you're dealing with overwhelming emotions, lack of emotions, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques and together we will identify individualized, effective coping strategies to meet the "Best You!" Feel free to email me at efrankolicsw@gmail.com if you have any questions

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your intake, you will learn a bit about what to expect while working with me. It is a time for us to get to know each other, make sure we are a good fit and establish a working treatment plan

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I find the best approach is a combination approach. Through Behavioral Therapy, we will gain an understanding of how your thoughts and behaviors are connected and what you can do to effect change. Client-centered therapy we explore different strategies or obtaining coping skills will allow you continue to progress, achieve and maintain the "Best You." After all, what works for one, does not work for all.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as a clinician is to form a meaningful connection with clients early on, with a strong focus on strengths and support. I tend to ask a lot of questions to better understand your situation and how it is unique to you. It is important to understand the root cause of whatever you bring to therapy and begin to build skills and protective factors to allow you to be the “Best YOU!”
