Welcome! You are in the right place to get help if you feel like you have been struggling. Do you feel overwhelmed by all the demands life puts on you? Are you looking for a way back to your true self? I specialize in helping people work through their anxiety and depression in order to better handle their high-pressure lives. I have a particular interest in helping women and those in the LGBTQIA+ community. The issues I focus on include anxiety, depression, life transitions, career, relationship issues, and childhood trauma. I'm here to be the person you can talk to who empathizes with what you're going through and can help you find solutions, all in a nurturing, safe space. My wish for you is to have the life you want and deserve!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, I will go over the Intake paperwork you filled out so I can get a better understanding of your past and your current situations that have caused you difficulty. We will also talk about ways you can get started with feeling better and the goals you are hoping to accomplish in therapy. When working with me, I will use a whole-self approach because mental health is influenced by many aspects of our lives. I use client-centered therapy techniques because I believe that my clients are able to decide what to explore and how. In other words, you are the expert of your life. So I will listen to your story and then help guide you through the areas of your life that you struggle with most. We will use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as emotionally focused therapy (EFT) to understand emotions and our connections to others. I also utilize solution-focused, experiential, and trauma-informed care.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I adhere to the therapists' mission of having unconditional positive regard for my clients. Your story is your own, and I will validate your feelings, helping you to feel heard and appreciated. I can be a supportive guide as you go through life's transitions, and I can lead you on a journey to discover your true self and find your unique purpose.
