What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The goal of the first session is for the me to get to know you. I will be asking quablestions about the your life, your background and what brought you to therapy. The other important goal of the first session is for you to see if you feel comforatable with me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use my training as a therapist, my heart and my intuition to help my clients. I don't tell client's what they should do but I let them lead and ask where do they want to go? My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

What we think is how we feel. I use CBT to help my client find values and beliefs that might have been given to them but no longer meet their needs. Have you ever heard the term "Don't believe everything you think"? Many of the values and beliefs we hold on to were given to us as children. If we can hear what we are telling ourselves we can choose whether or not to keep a value or belief that we had been given.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness based cognitive therapy is a type of psychotherapy that involves a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, meditation, and the cultivation of a present -oriented non judgemental attituce called "mindfulness" Many of us have what is called monkey mind. Where our mind just won't stop thinking. Mindfulness helps us to learn to be in the moment so we don't miss out on joy and love.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reporcessing Therapy is an evidence-based approach to treating trauma and PTSD, as well as a wide range of other mental health issues. Not all traumas need to be talked about over and over. EMDR and other energy therapies can help the client to give a different meaning to what they have experienced and stop the automatic replay.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy, also know as hypnotic medicine, is the use of hypnosis in psychotherapy. Hypnosis can help get information from the subconscious mind that the client may not be aware of.
