I have been a licensed Mental Health Counselor (licensed in Nevada, Florida, and Virginia), providing care to individuals and families for over seven years. I have completed over half of my academics towards a PhD in social psychology better to understand social influences on mental health and relationships. I started my career working in a county jail, working with offenders. Although I am passionate about working with offenders to reintegrate into society, my career took another path four years ago. I found a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community, adults, the aging population, couples, and families as they overcome daily struggles in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, we will start building a therapeutic relationship with fostering trust and a safe place to share. The client and clinician will complete an assessment that will assess the need for treatment and during that time we will identify treatment goals. This session will take roughly 45-60 minutes.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I value taking a client-centered approach to meet my clients where they are. This is your journey, and I am here to walk beside you and assist in navigating thoughts, behaviors, and actions. I take a gentle approach with a non-judgment stance during session.
