Finding the right therapist can be like finding your coziest sweater. I work closely with clients to establish a comfortable rapport before helping them work through difficult adjustments in life. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master's degree from the University of North Florida. I have been practicing for nine years, specializing in helping adults navigate transitions and overcome burnout to achieve their best selves. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will begin with brief introductions before addressing the specific challenges you are encountering. This will allow me to develop a personalized plan for us to work through in subsequent sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I empower my clients to challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes in their lives. I have experience working with military members, military dependents, and perinatal concerns. I offer a supportive and relaxed environment for clients to work towards healing, growth, and adjustment.

I believe the client is the expert in their own life. Compassion and validation are used to assist the client with increasing their ability to cope with stressful situations.

Psychoeducation

I believe knowledge provides empowerment. Historically, I have provided psychoeducation to assist clients with understanding the symptoms they are experiencing and increasing their coping mechanisms.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I meet clients where they are at and work with them to sit with their emotions through mindfulness techniques.
