Hello! My name is Alana. If you answer yes to any of the following 6 questions, you've come to the right place: 1) Are you feeling stressed, lost, sad, anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or without direction? 2) Are you having relationship or marital problems? 3) Are you experiencing conflict with friends, family, neighbors and/or co-workers? 4) Are you having difficulty concentrating or accomplishing everyday tasks? 5) Are the activities you once loved, no longer enjoyable? 6) Are you having difficulty controlling your anger or regulating your emotions? In practicing for 30+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to help thousands of people just like you to find joy, contentment, enthusiasm, inspiration, love, peace, and purpose in their lives. I’ve met many of my clients at their lowest points and have always provided them with steadfast support as they tackled their toughest challenges and reached for their highest goals. My therapeutic methodology will be tailored specifically to you. You have your own distinct needs, different from anyone else’s, and, therefore, you deserve your own unique approach that will best suit your personality and your goals. I always seek to deliver the best service possible, and I provide each client with what they need to succeed. I look forward to working with you! I will be here with you every step of the way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

It's normal to feel a bit nervous before your first session. I will do all that I can to help you feel comfortable. It is often helpful to make a list of the issues you'd like to discuss ahead of the session, as I want to make sure to cover what's most important to you. The session will be very casual. We will get to know each other and work together to determine how to proceed based on the information you provide. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the best methods for helping those with depression, anxiety, stress, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, addictions, trauma, body dysmorphic disorder, and much much more. It is an evidence-based approach that will empower you to identify and challenge your negative thinking patterns, leading to significant shifts in your emotional well-being and behavior. I work together with each client to develop practical coping strategies and problem-solving skills to manage a wide range of mental health concerns. I make sure to tailor CBT interventions to meet the unique needs of each client, as your needs are different than anyone else’s. Over the years, I have witnessed countless clients experience profound positive changes through the use of CBT, reinforcing my commitment to this proven approach in promoting mental health and well-being.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my practice, I utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as an empowering and future-oriented approach to help clients navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, stress, and bipolar disorder. With over 30 years of experience, I focus on identifying and leveraging clients' strengths and resources to create actionable solutions, rather than dwelling on problems. This method allows clients to visualize a preferred future and take small, meaningful steps toward that vision. With this treatment method, emphasis on solutions rather than problems makes it an effective tool in brief treatment settings, allowing clients to leave sessions feeling hopeful and empowered with practical tools to handle their mental health concerns.

Couples Counseling

With 30+ years of experience as a licensed therapist specializing in couples counseling, I utilize an approach that prioritizes open communication, empathy, and understanding within relationships. Utilizing evidence-based techniques such as Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method, I have worked with countless couples to navigate conflicts, rebuild trust, and strengthen their emotional connection. By creating a safe and supportive space, I have guided couples through challenges such as communication breakdowns, infidelity, and intimacy issues, empowering them to work collaboratively towards shared goals. Through tailored interventions and personalized treatment plans, I have witnessed transformative breakthroughs and the restoration of healthy, resilient partnerships. My commitment to helping couples cultivate lasting, positive change has been a driving force in my practice, and I remain dedicated to supporting the well-being and growth of every couple who seeks my guidance.
