Hi. My name is Kamla Johnson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I obtained a Master of Social Work Degree from Florida Atlantic University as well as a Master of Health Administration Degree also from Florida Atlantic University. I have 15 years experience in client care starting as a nursing assistant. I hold Master Certified Addictions Professional Credential, Certified Case Manager Supervisor Credential, Approved mental health and substance abuse trainer by the Florida Certification Board, and Certified Telehealth Practitioner. My therapy style is that I serve clients from a client- centered and holistic perspective. I have worked in child welfare, substance use, and mental health. I have worked with those affected by trauma. I serve children, adults, adolescents, geriatric, LGBTQIA+ and know clients are master of their life. My approach is to listen to client’s story, be clients centered, listen to their story, ask about their support system, and be present in each session. Person served are the expert in your life. My role is to journey alongside you to help you to live your best, purposeful, most fulfilled life to feel empowered to continue to journey along. I encourage patients to feel motivated for the next steps in the process. I utilized the client’s/ family’s strengths and encourage them to realize that they can make changes within their lives. I’m empathetic, compassionate, a good listener, flexible, dedicated, hardworking and adaptable. I work well independently. Modalities are based on the client situation and how I can best help client. I utilize various evidenced based treatment modalities. I don’t have all the answers, and I am here to support you and journey with you.
