Hello! I am an LICSW based in Massachusetts. I received my Master's from Salem State University with a focus in Child Welfare. I have 7 years of experience working with adolescents and families in child protection services and worked with emergency domestic violence services. I have been in the social work field for 12 years. I have a deep understanding of Trauma Informed Care, work collaboratively with clients and use an eclectic approach when working with clients. One size does not fit all and it is my passion to work with clients and find the right approach for them. My dog Dakota loves to hang out with me during sessions. I love to be outside hiking, going for walks with Dakota, and being in nature. Reading and baking are other activities I enjoy doing in my spare time.
Our first session will focus around going over expectations for the clients as well as what to expect throughout our time working together. We will discuss what the client is looking to get from therapy as well as their hope and dreams on a large scale.
My career has been focused working with adolescents and families. I use a trauma informed approach and firmly believe that the client knows what they need and look to therapy for guidance to better understand their history, heal, and find solutions. I use a team approach and come to each session with curiosity.
Clients will explore their early attachments to understand how their early years affect their current relationships. Through this work clients will learn how to rebuild or build healthy trusting relationships.
DBT will support clients in building skills to manage their emotions and behaviors and understand how past experiences drive thinking.
Clients will have a supportive, safe environment to explore their experiences to work towards understanding the effects of trauma and build resilience.
