It's often said that if "life gives you lemons, make lemonade". But what if you never receive the lemons, what if you have no pitcher, no sugar or water? My specialty is Trauma-informed care where I assist in helping to manage anger, self-injurious behaviors, anxiety and depression associated with negative experiences that life throws your way. I will work with you to recognize your trauma symptoms and help you to strategize and obtain the tools necessary to improve those symptoms. I am an advocate for clients with limited resources and tools to be successful in life and will help to identify treatment goals and work with you to overcome barriers to achieving those goals. We all need a little help sometimes when we feel as though we have fallen. Let's work together to find clarity and build resilience to overcome life's hurdles.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introduction into therapy, me as a therapist and we will dive into the challenges you're facing and identify and discuss your treatment goals to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I've often been told by clients that my passion shows as I have a non-biased approach and I care for everyone's overall well-being. This has been evident as I have been able to reach those in severe crisis and encourage overall behavioral change through consistency and meeting each client where they are.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with all client's who are open to change and are wiling to learn the tools needed to accomplish set goal's.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the central treatment approach I rely on to help clients manage and improve their emotional well-being. I use CBT to guide clients in recognizing how their negative thought patterns, or cognitive distortions, directly impact their moods, behaviors, and decision-making. With the focus of encouraging collaboration, providing education and skill building strategies to assist with navigating life’s challenges more effectively and with greater emotional resilience.
