In therapy, the focus is on helping clients become more aware of their emotional experiences, express their feelings more effectively, and create more secure emotional bonds with others. EFT is particularly effective for couples, as it addresses attachment-related issues and helps partners understand and respond to each other's emotional needs. By transforming negative emotional patterns, EFT aims to build stronger, more supportive relationships and enhance emotional well-being, fostering greater connection and understanding between individuals.
Structural Family Therapy focuses on understanding and changing the interactions and relationships within a family system that contribute to emotional and behavioral problems. The central idea of Structural Family Therapy is that problems in individuals are often reflections of dysfunctions in the family structure—how roles, boundaries, hierarchies, and patterns of interaction are organized and maintained within the family.
