My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This therapy approach has proven to be effective in treating a wide range of clinical conditions such as workplace stress, chronic pain, PTSD, schizophrenia and Anxiety. It allows the client to access a transcendent sense of self and discovering what is most important to one's true self. It also allows the therapist to guide the client in engaging with openness, interest and receptiveness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this approach to treating clients who have substance use disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, sleep and depression. CBT allows the therapist to assist the client in confronting and developing an understanding of their fears rather than avoiding them. It assist the client with identifying and breaking destructive patterns which that causes maladaptive behaviors. Overall, CBT allows for a collaborative relationship between the client and the therapist which is necessary for healing.

Christian Counseling

I utilize Christian counseling approach and incorporate it with psychological concepts along with biblical teachings to promote psychological health while fostering spiritual growth. I implement christian CBT to challenge and change negative distortions, and assist the client with aligning their thoughts with examples of biblical teachings if the client is a Christian. PS. If the client is not religious this therapy approach will not be implemented.
