Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience helping individuals and families overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. I work with adult clients from diverse backgrounds, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where healing and growth can take place. My approach is collaborative, and I believe in empowering my clients to develop healthier coping strategies, a greater understanding of themselves, and skills for overcoming life’s challenges.
In our first session, we'll explore the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths are my empathy, adaptability, and collaborative approach. I take the time to listen carefully and understand my clients' unique experiences, ensuring they feel heard and supported. I’m also adaptable, able to draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of each individual. By working together with clients, I help them develop practical strategies and insights tailored to their personal goals. My ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space is also key, allowing clients to explore difficult emotions and experiences with confidence and trust.
I most enjoy working with adults who are navigating life, family, and career. My clients are eager to learn and improve their mental health, but they often lack the tools needed to make their goals a reality. They frequently feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about relationships, careers, and life purpose.
In CBT, the goal is to help clients recognize and change negative thought patterns that affect their mood and behavior. I assist my clients by actively listening to their stressors and concerns. I help them prioritize areas of concern and discuss the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to these stressors. I offer various perspectives on how the situations could be viewed, explore the costs and benefits of their thoughts, beliefs, and actions, and work together to identify alternative paths forward.
The purpose of solution-focused brief therapy is to help clients develop solutions for immediate problems and work toward practical goals. I enjoy using this modality because it directly addresses the problem and identifies what the client wants to achieve both now and in the future. Additionally, I help clients identify and use strengths they already possess to fulfill their goals.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy is one of my favorite therapeutic approaches because it helps with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and trauma. I especially enjoy using it because I get to teach clients breathing techniques, emotional regulation, staying grounded, and taking control, even when nothing seems to be within their control.
Grief therapy helps people process their grief in a healthy way, allowing them to honor the memory of what they've lost while adjusting to life without it. I recognize that grief is unique to each person and can unfold in many different ways over varying periods of time. This form of therapy is near and dear to my heart, and I take pride in helping clients navigate their grief journey.
