My name is Dr. Jack J. Henderson. I have earned 3 stae of Texas license are dealing with a multitude of personal issues which disrupts the vital functioning of their lives.es and am Board certified. I began in the Methodist ministry for 15 years serving as a pastor and hospital chaplain. I followed my ultimate dream to become a licened professional counselor (LPC) holding a second master's degree and doctorate in Counseling Psychology. I use my skills to assist clients toward their own emotional healing and recovery.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I always begin intial sessions with introduction of myself. We will only be strangers just once. Then, we will reflect upon a personal history and the concentration of time to take a hard look at what you the client are facing whether it be personal, couples, family, addiction, grief and loss, and/or anger issues. The intensity of those issues will determine the length of time we shall spend together in order to envision maximum and long-lasting results. As your therapist, I will assign homework to help insure positive outcomes.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am supportive, appreciative to my clients' needs, loyal, faithful, and most of all empathic. I want to learn to think and feel the way you do so I can better understand your emotional pain and suffering. The living of life does not have to be difficult and harsh. There are simpler solutions to every problem. That's why you hire a third party like myself to objectively listen to your unque challenges and can create some space for healing and recovery.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Asking the client to use reasoning and logical thinking skills reduces the distress on the problem(s) in its context. Professional counseling teaches as well as informs the relaxation response to help identify each critical issue towards eventual resolution and recovery.
