We all have dealt with some type of family issue before. At times it can be hard to talk about, but sitting on it usually just makes things worse. My role in this process is to assist in delving into how these events have impacted you and how to move forward in future situations. Need to talk about trauma or issues with depression? Let's tackle this together and discover ways to overcome negative associations from the past. I help adults struggling with symptoms of depression and family issues. I also assist with anxiety and have a trauma focused background. I primarily use the tools of compassion, mindfulness, and problem solving to offer new perspectives in dealing with instances of intergenerational trauma. In many cases, certain aspects unknowingly get repeated between parents and their children. This can be addressed through discussing your own understanding as well as opting to make changes for your future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. I like to get a clear idea of what you’re struggling with so I can figure out how to best serve you. Talking about certain personal issues can be hard, but I try to make it as easy and comfortable as possible. Clients tell me I exceed at motivational interviewing, Trauma-informed CBT, and Compassionate Inquiry. I can also provide resources for your own self-exploration of certain topics.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I’ve worked in the field of social work and have come across many different cultures and age groups. I provide an empathic approach which can guide clients to look deeper into themselves while also figuring out new ways to handle certain interpersonal situations. Everyone needs someone to listen and hear their true voice. My goal through our sessions is that you're able to walk away with a new perspective and game-plan for future encounters as well as feel supported in making new decisions and changes within your life.
