Hi All. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters of Social Work from Barry University and have been practicing for 10+ years. I enjoy helping adults with workplace difficulties, new mothers with adjustment issues during postpartum, athletes with life transitions and performance issues and elderly persons with adjustment to dependency and end of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I will formally introduce myself and explain the therapeutic process including the importance of forming a therapeutic alliance to promote optimal healing. l will probe to identify specific challenges and stressors including symptoms. Then I will provide some psycho-education regarding current stressors and symptoms. This will help to identify preliminary plan of action for our future work. You may leave our session with a behavioral homework assignment that consists of reflection, identification of triggers or coping skill implementation.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am very relatable with great listening skills. Working with me will often feel like the unspoken conversation you've had in your head has just been recited out loud without angst or labor. It is my goal to help clients live freely while empowering them with tools to cope in their daily lives. Learning to identify self defeating and irrational thoughts are a few keys to healing. I am a huge advocate for self care and coping skills. We can work together to identify best practices for your healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, CBT has helped clients understand how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interconnected. CBT is helpful when dealing with anxiety and depressive disorders as it helps to identify and manage symptoms or stressors in daily life. This information allows the challenging of unhealthy thoughts and restructure previous thoughts to healthier thoughts which allows for an improved quality of life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In SFT, clients with assistance from therapist identify current stressors and triggers. This increases awareness of triggers which assists with identifying possibly solutions. Therapist assists client with plan of action for solution implementation through different behavioral assignments and accountability.
