My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Focus on mindfulness and calming skills to reduce anxiety and signs of depression. DBT skills are extremely helpful to reducing symptoms of mood disorders, PTSD and trauma. This approach is useful for emotional regulation, increasing distress tolerance and interpersonal skills. Personal insight, self-reflection and a growth mindset are also often implemented to increase self-regulation and stress management.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive restructuring, reframing and thought challenging. Focus on addressing cognitive dissonance and addressing maladaptive behaviors and unhealthy coping skills. CBT strategies are effective to treat anxiety, depression and phobias and well as useful when added with other forms of treatment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SF strategies promote the use of of problem solving skills and personal empowerment. This is a short-term treatment (4-8 sessions) that addresses anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationships.

Motivational Interviewing

MI therapy is a person-centered approach to address readiness for change. This form of therapy is useful to address addiction, relationships, and life changes.
