For over seven years, as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have provided direct clinical services and diagnostic evaluations to adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, low self-esteem, phase of life issues, and grief. I also work with couples who are experiencing conflicts in their relationships. It is not always easy to reach out and ask for help with areas of our lives we feel we need support with. I appreciate you trusting me to be a part of your journey and together we can develop the skills needed to manage the issues and challenges you may be facing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we'll begin by getting to know each other. I'll listen to your concerns, thoughts, and feelings without judgment, and together we'll explore what brought you to therapy. We'll talk about your goals for our time together, and I’ll explain how I work, including confidentiality and the process of therapy. This session is really about building trust and understanding so that we can start to work on whatever challenges you're facing in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a mental health provider, I believe my greatest strength lies in my ability to listen with genuine empathy and without judgment. I create a safe, open space where you can express yourself freely, knowing that your feelings and experiences are heard and respected. I understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and I’m here to meet you where you are, offering support and guidance tailored to your individual needs. My goal is to empower you to develop the tools and confidence to navigate challenges, while always remaining a compassionate and non-judgmental ally along the way.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I primarily work with adults and adolescents who are facing a variety of challenges, some of which include anxiety, ADHD, anger, grief or life transitions. I value working with individuals who are motivated to engage in their own healing process. I thrive in creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients who are open to exploring their emotions and behaviors and are willing to learn new coping strategies. I enjoy working with people who value collaboration, where we can build a therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect. I believe every person’s journey is unique, and I am committed to meeting clients where they are, empowering them to work toward growth and resilience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In therapy, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. Together, we work to reframe these thoughts into more balanced, realistic perspectives. I also guide clients in practicing new coping strategies and behaviors to break the cycle of unhelpful thinking. By consistently applying these techniques, clients can gain greater control over their emotions and develop healthier ways of thinking.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in the present moment. We’ll practice grounding techniques and breathing exercises to reduce stress and increase emotional regulation. By learning to observe your experiences non-judgmentally, you can develop a greater sense of self-awareness and resilience. This approach encourages you to respond to challenges with more clarity and less reactivity, promoting overall well-being.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you focus on your strengths and resources rather than dwelling on problems. Together, we'll explore your goals and identify small, actionable steps to move toward solutions, ensuring that you feel empowered and motivated. I believe that even small changes can create a ripple effect, so we'll emphasize progress, however incremental. By focusing on what’s working and how you’ve succeeded in the past, we’ll build confidence and create a clear path forward.
