Hi! I'm Samantha, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience. I've worked with many people navigating challenges through various stages of life. I enjoy working with clients who might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and who want to initiate positive change in their lives. I love being a sounding board and providing support and new insights to the individuals I work with.
By having a better understanding of self and your capacity for growth and healing, you will be able to face whatever comes your way from a new lens. Whether you are looking for a source of support, a listening ear, or want to hone in on new skills for your personal development, I am here to assist you on your journey of healing and self-discovery.
I graduated from Texas State University with my bachelor’s degree in 2013 and then completed my MSW from my alma mater in 2015. I’ve worked in various settings which allowed me to support those navigating anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, grief and loss, adjustment and limitations due to brain injury and spinal cord injury, life transitions, and aging. My experience doesn’t solely come from traditional education but from my life lessons as well as having the privilege of sitting on the receiving end of therapy for myself. I understand that therapy requires safety, vulnerability, and authenticity.I grew up in a military home with both parents who served over 20+ years in the Air Force. I can provide experiential empathy and support to military families and members looking for therapeutic support. My passion is working with women, young adults, and professionals experiencing a range of symptoms and life stressors related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions such as college, marriage, change in relationship status, self-esteem, parenting, a new job, moving, etc. My approach to counseling is a combination of Holistic therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We’ll use CBT to address how old thinking patterns and habits contribute to feeling stuck and at times powerless in your unique life journey. I also use a Holistic approach to therapy which focuses on the whole self (Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual, and Communal) and how these parts all play a role in our overall mental well-being.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into sessions by helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to their emotional struggles and behaviors. Through structured exercises, we will work together to reframe negative thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and create realistic goals for lasting change.
I use a holistic therapy approach by addressing the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected elements of a person’s overall well-being. By integrating various techniques such as talk therapy, mindfulness practices, and physical wellness strategies, I aim to support clients in achieving balance and healing on all levels. This approach encourages self-awareness, personal growth, and a deeper sense of inner harmony.
