Hello, I’m Camella. I’m an LPC-S with 15+ years of counseling experience. I’ve worked in a variety of settings and enjoy working diverse populations. I have experience with clients who’ve experienced addictions, trauma, family conflicts, significant life events, anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, parenting concerns, spiritual conflicts and relationship concerns. I strive to be accepting and understanding to ensure clients feel safe to share their innermost thoughts. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session I want to hear the thoughts and worries that you’ve been carrying. We’ll get to know each other at a pace that’s comfortable for you, while I learn your concerns and areas of strength. I listen for cues that guide me to better understand your communication style, personality type, and how to reach you in the ways that you’re most receptive to. We will build a therapeutic relationship that ensures that you feel safe, supported and successful.

I have strong communication skills, and wealth of information to share with clients. I genuinely enjoy helping and want the best for my clients. I am a lifelong learner and I’m always looking for ways to improve and grow. I’m a wife, mother, sister, daughter, scholar and athlete. I multitask well and understand life from several vantage points. Even if I haven’t lived it, I am rooted in empathy and can always consider others’ feelings.

I prefer that clients are ready to embrace change. Whether it be the early stages of learning what and how to change or those who just need support and accountability while they plan, act and maintain changes. I work best with clients who can endure occasional challenges and direct communication when necessary. My ideal clients are those who desire genuine care and concern, who are open to building a therapeutic relationship and are willing to work through the discomfort to transition from surviving to thriving.
