I am an LPCC with a masters in clinical mental health counseling. I have been practicing therapy since 2019 and started my EMDR journey in 2020. I have experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. My work entails exploring all aspects of a client’s well-being to ensure all needs can realistically be met with gradual growth towards wants and maintenance of the two.
Clients can anticipate an overview of treatment, goal collaboration, and explore their needs of therapy. We will begin the process to create an alliance and introduce calming techniques.
I have undergraduate and graduate experience with utilizing evidenced based approaches along with spiritual components. A part from Christianity, other religious and spiritual beliefs are invited into the space to connect the individual with a source of strength and comfort.
My primary focus is working with young adults and adults who have grief, trauma, and struggle with managing their beliefs, identity, and expectations. Areas often explored are communication, boundaries, losses, and processing traumatic events small or big.
I am currently EMDR trained with four years of experience. The use of EMDR resourcing and BLS is to install calm and safety. The goal is to reduce disturbances with images, sensations, thoughts, and emotions.
I have been practicing CBT for five years. This helps understand the connections between thoughts, emotions and feelings. CBT allows for disconnection with the negative and create adaptive mindset.
I have utilized existential therapy for five years with clients who want to understand a purpose and explore their freedom. Often times this approach provides insight to choices that may have been removed during life circumstances.
MI is a great model to help clients understand boundaries, decisions, and approach ambiguity from the perspective of a guiding tool. MI can focus on resistance and create effective power of behavioral change.
