Great to meet you! After completing my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at The University of Texas at Dallas, I began work as a case manager in mental health as I completed my Masters in Science in Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my education, I had the opportunity to study and practice many approaches to be able to provide the most effective treatment that meets the needs of my clients. With my clinical experience I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults with various life experiences and problems. I have worked in various settings to include: individuals, groups, and within individuals' communities. I have worked in different settings to expand my experiences and to be able to understand and be more effective with individuals. I have experience in the following therapeutic approaches: *Cognitive Behavior Therapy * Acceptance and Commitment Therapy * Psychodynamic Therapy. I have experience treating a range of symptoms that include, but are not limited to: * Depression * Anxiety * Mood management * Substance abuse * Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder * Extreme stress

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will start to get to know each other. We will dive into what brought you to therapy so we can work together on a plan for our time together.

I have a lot of experiences with helping through life transitions, depression, and anxiety. My focus is to help you gain those tools so you don't have to feel you need to rely on therapy or others to be able to find balance.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I really enjoy working with individuals with different backgrounds, with my strength being in helping those experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety and are open to understanding what may be underlying and open to trying new techniques to manage the impact those symptoms and stressors have.
