Hello there, my name is Jackie. I’d like to start by saying it brings me great joy that you are here making time for yourself! Allow me to ask, what brought you here today? Is it fears…traumas… distractions… hardships…loss… endless worries… striving for something meaningful? If you’re finding it hard to answer, “where do I go from here?,” then arriving at this thought is exactly where you need to be to make the decision to create your own path . As you reach this crossroads I offer you tools to support you in bringing to light the barriers that prevent you from uncovering your full potential. I invite you to show up for yourself as you journey through the mountains and valley’s that are the wonders of your life.
I begin by offering guidance on how our time will be spent with one another, with a focus on getting familiar with one another and then offering spotlight to the catalyst for beginning therapy along with questions from both myself and you.
My approach to therapy is primarily centered around the individual because I firmly believe that you are the foremost authority on yourself. I see you as the key driver of change and progress towards achieving your goals. In my experience, therapy works best when it is tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and experiences. In addition to my person-centered approach, I also draw upon various evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
There is great strength in self-awareness and courage in facing the unknown. As your therapist, I am committed to being my authentic self and walking alongside you on your journey towards self-discovery and personal growth.
I would like to focus on working with ethnic populations, bilingual, generational immigration, athletes, women, professionals, parents, students, young adult, adolescents, mature adults, grief, pro substance use and life transitions.
