With 16 years of experience, I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, and ADHD, helping clients break free from overwhelming patterns and step into a more fulfilling life. I am EMDR-trained, a certified ADHD Specialist, and use EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, and CBT as my primary approaches to therapy. Making changes can be tough and often a little scary. Sometimes finding the right path is difficult - so many choices and so many obstacles. I will work with your strengths and your thought life, right where you are, to help you move past fears and other obstacles to create the lasting change you desire.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session with me is a time to settle in, share your story, and begin building a foundation for our work together. I will gather the important information needed to officially get started, but more importantly, I will take the time to listen—really listen—to what has brought you to this point and what you hope to gain from counseling. This session is also an opportunity for us to find a comfortable rhythm for meeting, ensuring that the process feels supportive and manageable for you. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and understood as we begin building a relationship rooted in teamwork. Together, we will walk toward growth, healing, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in tailoring therapy to fit your needs—whether that means processing past trauma, managing anxiety, or finding strategies that work for your ADHD brain. My approach is warm, collaborative, and action-oriented, creating a space where you feel comfortable while making meaningful progress. Together, we’ll identify your strengths and develop a plan that meets you where you are, guiding you toward real and lasting change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I believe that within each person lies resilience and tenacity—sometimes buried beneath pain, doubt, or fear, but never lost. Even in the face of overwhelming discomfort, you have the strength to step onto the path of change. Sometimes, you just need someone to walk beside you as you summon that courage. If you're struggling, feeling stuck, or wondering what therapy will be like, know that you don’t have to do this alone. I am here to support you, to help you navigate the uncertainty, and to empower you as you take steps toward healing, clarity, and a more fulfilling life. Change begins with one step—let’s take it together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I love to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and understand their thought patterns, particularly those that may be distorted or unhelpful. Together, we explore how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, working to challenge and reframe any patterns that may be creating barriers to growth, change, or healing. CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that empowers individuals to develop healthier ways of thinking, improve emotional regulation, and build effective coping strategies. Through collaboration, I support clients in learning practical skills to manage stress, reduce anxiety or depression, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and equipped to make meaningful progress toward their goals.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I leverage Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths, set clear goals, and create practical steps toward positive change. SFBT is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that focuses on solutions rather than problems. It is based on the belief that clients already have the skills and resources needed to improve their lives, and my role is to help bring those strengths to the surface. Together, we will build practical and timely action plans that align with your unique goals. We will focus on what is working, explore past successes, and develop strategies to create meaningful progress. My approach is supportive and collaborative, helping you gain confidence in your ability to make lasting changes.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in my practice because it is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy for processing trauma, reducing anxiety, and addressing a variety of emotional concerns. EMDR is a structured approach that helps individuals reprocess distressing memories in a way that allows them to feel less overwhelming and more manageable. By using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, EMDR helps the brain integrate and heal from past experiences that may be contributing to current distress. Research has shown that EMDR is especially effective for treating trauma, including PTSD, as well as anxiety, phobias, and other emotional difficulties. It works by allowing the brain to process and store painful memories in a healthier way, reducing their emotional charge and the negative beliefs associated with them. I integrate EMDR into therapy to help clients move forward with greater emotional freedom, resilience, and a renewed sense of control over their lives.
