I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker, Clinical (LCSW-C) offering individual counseling. I work with women navigating the pressures of midlife — juggling careers, aging parents, raising kids, and their own health, often while putting everyone else's needs first. My clients are typically balancing multiple roles at once and are ready to stop running on empty. Areas of focus: Career stress, burnout, and transitions Caregiving for aging parents while raising a family ("sandwich generation") Health changes and the emotional toll of getting older Life transitions — empty nest, divorce, career shifts, becoming a caregiver Boundary-setting with parents, partners, children, and at work Anxiety, overwhelm, and mood related to role overload My counseling style is warm, interactive, and collaborative — I believe deeply in treating every client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs, drawing on cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapy to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change. I meet you where you are, and we work together to define and achieve your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, ADHD, chronic health conditions, and perinatal mental health — including postpartum depression. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take that first step toward change. If you're ready, I am here to support and empower you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is less about diving deep and more about getting to know each other. You can think of it as a conversation — one where I'm genuinely curious about you, what brought you to therapy, and what you're hoping to get out of it. We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what feels hard right now, and what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. I'll ask some questions to better understand your history and your goals, but this isn't an interrogation — you share what feels comfortable, and we go from there. I also want you to get a sense of me. Therapy works best when the relationship feels right, so I welcome your questions too. By the end of our first session, we'll have a clearer picture of what you're working toward and whether we're a good fit to do that work together. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before you walk in. Showing up is the hardest part — and you've already done that.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often describe me as easy to talk to, refreshingly direct, and someone who helps them see their situation in a new light. I create a space where nothing feels off-limits and judgment has no place — and within that safety, we get to work. What sets my approach apart is my ability to balance genuine warmth with practical, actionable tools. I don't just help you process how you feel — I help you figure out what to do with it. Drawing on my experience working with diverse populations across many stages of life, I bring a grounded, real-world understanding of the transitions and pressures my clients face. I've walked alongside people through some of life's most defining moments, and that experience shapes how I show up in the room. Clients who work with me often leave sessions feeling truly heard — sometimes for the first time. Over time, they develop stronger, more fulfilling relationships, build practical coping skills that hold up under real stress, and gain a clearer, more confident sense of how to navigate their lives. I use CBT and solution-focused approaches to help clients move from feeling overwhelmed to having a concrete plan. Sessions are practical and goal-oriented — we identify what's draining you, set boundaries that actually hold, and build coping strategies that fit into a genuinely full life. I bring over 20 years of clinical experience, including work in school, medical, and community settings, to sessions that feel grounded and collaborative. My goal is never for you to need me forever. It's to give you the insight and tools to carry forward long after our work together is done.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with young adults and adults who are standing at a crossroads — navigating the exciting but often overwhelming transitions that come with the different seasons of life. Whether you're stepping into the working world after graduation, becoming a parent, learning to build a life with a partner, or find yourself in caregiver role these moments can stir up more than you expected. You may feel pressure to "have it together" while quietly struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, shifting identity, or the weight of new responsibilities. You might be figuring out who you are outside of the roles you've always known, or learning how to show up in relationships in ways that feel authentic and sustainable. Or perhaps you're in the middle — caring for aging parents while raising your own children, with little time or space left for yourself. The sandwich generation carries a unique kind of exhaustion: the emotional labor of supporting everyone around you while your own needs quietly go unmet. You deserve support too. If you're someone who is self-aware enough to know you need support but aren't sure where to start — you're exactly who I had in mind.

My treatment methods

Supportive

My approach to supportive therapy centers on building a genuine, trusting relationship where clients feel heard, validated, and less alone. I meet clients where they are — strengthening existing coping skills, bolstering self-esteem, and reinforcing natural resilience rather than pushing for change before someone is ready. This is especially valuable during periods of acute stress, grief, major life transitions, or when life simply feels overwhelming. I blend supportive techniques with other evidence-informed approaches, always tailoring the work to each client's unique needs and readiness. I believe feeling supported isn't a lesser form of therapy — it's often the foundation that makes all other growth possible.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify patterns in their thinking and behavior that may be keeping them stuck. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, grounded in both evidence-based practice and a whole-person, social work perspective.

Trauma Informed Care

My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, meaning I prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment in every client relationship. I understand that many of the patterns clients struggle with have roots in past experiences, and I approach that with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.

Strength-Based

I believe every client comes with inherent strengths and resilience, even when those are hard to see. My approach focuses on identifying and building on what's already working — helping clients reconnect with their own capacity for growth rather than centering what's "wrong."
