Stacey Johnson
I’m an experienced Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a heart for serving teens and adults through life’s most difficult seasons. I believe everyone deserves a safe place to be heard, understood, and encouraged. My approach is compassionate, practical, and collaborative, blending evidence-based strategies with each person’s unique strengths and goals. Whether you’re navigating grief, anxiety, relationship concerns, depression, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you find hope, build resilience, and move forward with confidence. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
First session
Beginning counseling can feel overwhelming, but my goal is to make your first visit comfortable and welcoming. During our initial session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to counseling, exploring your goals, and identifying your strengths. You’ll have the opportunity to share at your own pace in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. Together, we’ll develop a personalized plan that reflects your unique needs and equips you with practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges. My hope is that you’ll leave your first session feeling heard, encouraged, and confident that you don’t have to face this journey alone.
Strengths
My strengths as a counselor include creating a safe, compassionate environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I take a practical, collaborative approach to therapy, helping teens and adults identify their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience through life’s challenges. Clients often appreciate my calm, encouraging presence, my ability to balance empathy with practical guidance, and my commitment to helping them move toward lasting growth and hope.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve teens, adults and couples who are navigating grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, or other emotional stressors. Many of my clients are seeking practical tools to manage overwhelming emotions, improve communication, strengthen relationships, or find hope after loss or difficult life experiences. Whether you’re facing a recent crisis or have been carrying burdens for years, I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where healing and personal growth can take place. My goal is to help clients build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose I am EMDR trained.
