I’m glad you’re here. Looking for support is a big first step. Therapy can be a place to slow down, to make sense of what you’re dealing with, and find new ways forward that feel more manageable. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Connecticut and New York. I received my Masters from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and have been in the field for 12 years.

Additionally, I've worked with adults on the autism spectrum, family members and caregivers of people with developmental disabilities, and others in helping roles.

I have extensive experience working with college-aged and emerging adults navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions. Additionally, I've worked with adults on the autism spectrum, family members and caregivers of people with developmental disabilities, and others in helping roles. More importantly, I’m interested in getting to know you as an individual and working together in a way that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with who you are.

First session

In our first session, I’ll listen carefully as you share what brought you to therapy. I know it takes courage to take this step. Then, together we’ll talk about what you hope to get out of therapy and how we can work toward those goals in a way that feels comfortable and supportive for you.

Strengths

Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. I’ll listen, guide, and support you as you build on your strengths, tackle challenges, and develop practical tools for growth. Together, we’ll create a safe space where you can feel understood, empowered, and more confident in yourself.

Ideal clients

I work best with clients who want a space where they can be themselves and feel supported as they grow. My experience includes supporting adults with disabilities (particularly individuals on the autism spectrum), their families and caregivers, people in helping roles, and those navigating grief. I also enjoy working with college students and young adults who are finding their footing, and I’ve helped many clients work through anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions.

Treatment methods

Eclectic

With an eclectic approach, I utilize a number of different treatment methods to work with a client in order to support them in the best way possible.

Marc's done a great job of making me feel comfortable to share just about anything - which given I know my situation is fairly complex is a god-send for being able to get the best advice and direction. He's warm, just the right level of humorous, and doesn't make me feel judged as we're in the "info gathering / getting to know you" phase of things. I look forward to getting into the solution-side of things in future sessions.

Easy to talk to and relate able. Offers insights from outside my own perspective.

Just a first consult so take with a grain of salt, but Marc made me feel welcome to be open, and was reassuring "if you're not comfortable sharing that's OK.." at a few points were we were close to potentially sensitive topics for an initial consult. He did a lot of listening, and a lot of asking questions, which is exactly what I was expecting / hoping for in this initial phase of things. His suggested action items felt "right sized" to where I am. Looking forward to working with him more.
