I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) providing compassionate, client-centered therapy using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and challenges related to motivation and personal growth, as well as those coping with grief and bereavement. My approach is collaborative and flexible, helping clients build insight, develop healthy coping strategies, and strengthen resilience.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and challenges related to motivation and personal growth, as well as those coping with grief and bereavement.

My goal is to support clients in finding clarity, self-compassion, and confidence as they move forward with greater balance and purpose.

First session

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive space to begin discussing what has brought them to therapy. I will ask questions to better understand their current concerns, personal history, and what they hope to gain from the therapeutic process. We will also talk about how therapy works, review confidentiality, and discuss any questions or expectations they may have. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and consider how we can work together to support their progress.

Strengths

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the strong emphasis I place on the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and perspectives. I believe that feeling heard, understood, and supported is a key part of the change process. Within this trusting relationship, we work together to explore challenges, identify helpful strategies, and move toward the client’s goals at a pace that feels manageable and empowering.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I work collaboratively with clients to recognize unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns and guide them in challenging and reframing those thoughts. I also incorporate practical techniques—such as thought records, behavioral experiments, and between-session exercises—to help clients apply new coping skills in their daily lives. Over time, this process supports clients in developing healthier thinking patterns and more effective ways of managing difficult emotions and situations.
