Hi, I'm Amanda. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you’ve tried everything and nothing is quite working, you’re not alone. I work with adults in Minnesota and North Dakota who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, burnout, and ongoing stress. Many clients feel overworked, emotionally drained, or caught in patterns of overthinking and want to feel more grounded and in control again. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based, relational, and person-centered therapy, and I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, understand patterns, and build practical tools for meaningful change.
The first session is a chance to talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s been feeling difficult, and what you’d like to change. We’ll go at your pace, and you don’t need to prepare anything ahead of time. It’s also an opportunity to ask questions and see if working together feels like a good fit.
I bring a calm, steady, and nonjudgmental presence into the room so you can slow down, take a breath, and talk openly without feeling judged or rushed. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable quickly, even when they weren’t sure what to expect from therapy. My style is both supportive and practical. While I provide space to process and feel what you’re carrying, I also help you build real-world tools you can use outside of session when life gets difficult.
Sometimes life's stressors can reach an overwhelming point. Balancing work, family, relationships and everything else? That's a LOT. My goal is to provide a trusting and therapeutic space for you. Together we can identify what you would like to work toward. I have the most experience working with adults ranging from 18-50 years old. I have experience with anger, anxiety, grief, depression and trauma. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as well which is a trauma therapy.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I have been using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice for about 3 years. This therapy allows you to become aware of what matters most to you as well as gain control of how you react to thoughts, feelings and situations. We will use this therapy to identify your values, what you are working toward and what brings you meaning and a sense of purpose. This approach also helps to move away from black and white thinking and be more adaptive.
Humanistic
I have been using a Humanistic approach in my practice for 4 years. This approach allows for me to have unconditional positive regard for my clients because above all, you are human first. We will use this therapy to meet you where you are at and allow your voice to be heard through active listening to determine what you want to work on and areas of growth.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I have been incorporating mindfulness into my approach for about 3 years. I look at mindfulness as a way to allow yourself to be focused more on the here and now. It also allows us to learn how to manage and handle what is going on around us and internally as well. Through mindfulness we can increase our self-compassion, self-esteem, awareness and overall well-being.

Amanda was very comforting and validating, while also pushing to find a solution. This kind of therapy is exactly what I was looking for.
