I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Tennessee with 17 years of experience providing psychotherapy, assessment, and referral services to adults, children, and families. Additionally, I am a certified Neuropsychotherapist, specializing in the integration of neuroscience into transformative therapy. Common areas of practice include anxiety and depression management, women's issues, support with the management of chronic health conditions, minority stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and grief/loss. It takes courage to choose a path of self-discovery and healing. But you don’t have to walk this path alone. Whether you are seeking assistance with managing an ongoing mental health issue, or are seeking solution-focused therapy to deal with a specific problem, I'm here to help

First session

Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, and it's completely normal to experience some anxiety as you take that first step. As your therapist, I strive to create a warm, welcoming space built on trust and unconditional acceptance. In our initial sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and clarifying your goals for therapy. We’ll also take time to discuss the process so you know what to expect. I encourage open communication and invite you to bring your questions, thoughts, and concerns—this is your space to be heard and supported.

Strengths

I’m passionate about empowering my clients through a holistic, mind-body approach to psychotherapy. By integrating mindfulness, relaxation, and skills-building techniques, I help individuals develop the tools and insight needed to foster resilience and create meaningful change. My goal is to support you in feeling more balanced, grounded, and centered in all areas of your life. Witnessing the growth, healing, and transformation of my clients is the heart of my work, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward greater well-being.

Ideal clients

I have extensive experience with adults and teens. Common areas of practice include anxiety and depression management, Women’s issues, minority stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and grief/loss.

Treatment methods

Mind-body approach

As a psychotherapist certified in Neuropsychotherapy, I integrate the latest findings in neuroscience with compassionate, client-centered care to help you create lasting change from the inside out. By understanding how your brain responds to stress, trauma, and relationships, we can work together to rewire unhelpful patterns, build emotional resilience, and foster a greater sense of calm, clarity, and connection. This approach empowers you not just to cope—but to truly transform your life with insight, intention, and healing.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma can leave lasting emotional wounds, but with the right support, healing is within reach. As a psychotherapist specializing in trauma therapy, I provide a safe, compassionate environment where you can begin to make sense of what you've been through and reconnect with your sense of self. Whether you're coping with the effects of childhood abuse, a recent traumatic event, or long-standing emotional pain, I use evidence-based approaches to help you process your experiences, build resilience, and regain control of your life. I incorporate treatment methods, such as trauma processing, narrative and somatic therapies, and EMDR. You don’t have to carry the weight of trauma alone—together, we can begin the journey toward healing and wholeness.

I chose Kay because they stood out when I searched Grow for a provider that suited my needs. She was on time, polite, and ready to meet me where I am with what I'm struggling with. She listened intently and provided feedback and curiosity. I felt comfortable opening up about my goals and struggles. I look forward to continuing my journey with Kay!
