Meghan Albrecht
I received my BA in English, Creative Writing from Bates College in Maine, and my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Smith College in Massachusetts. I have practiced for over 20 years in emergency services, community mental health and college settings in MA, VT and RI. I have an interest in complex trauma and how that has shaped a person's sense of self. My goal is to work with clients to improve quality of life, reduce shame and guilt and provide a senes of overall self compassion and self worth. I believe strongly that my clients are not their diagnosis, but human beings filled with personal experiences that have created behaviors and perspectives unique to their biology, psychology and social existence.
I have also received certification in EMDR, trauma informed equine assisted psychotherapy, and trauma informed mindfulness.
