First session

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me to gather more information and your history. We will then work on creating goals together and develop a plan for treatment.

Strengths

Building rapport and challenging clients in a healthy way is something that I do well with and enjoy while assisting clients with change.

Ideal clients

I love working with any individual who may struggle with self worth. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious or depressed about current life situations or stressors.

Treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a counseling technique that helps people overcome insecurities and ambivalent feelings to find the motivation to change their behavior.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that combines cognitive and behavioral therapy to help people manage mental health issues. CBT is a talking therapy that focuses on how thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes affect feelings and actions. The goal of CBT is to help people identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, learn self-help strategies, and change their behavior.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a structured psychotherapy program that helps people manage intense emotions and navigate social relationships. It's based on the idea that it's possible to accept yourself and change your behavior at the same time, which can feel contradictory.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented therapeutic approach that helps clients change by building solutions to problems instead of focusing on the problems themselves. SFBT is based on positive psychology principles and practices, and is one of the most widely used therapeutic treatments in the world.

Jessica creates such a safe and welcoming space. She’s warm, humorous, and easy to talk to, which makes therapy feel less intimidating and more like a real conversation with someone who genuinely cares. I’m so grateful for her support.

Jessica is an incredible person and so easy to talk with. She has helped me a lot with redirecting thought processes and challenging myself to be more assertive and self aware. Teaching me to be more self confident and the ability to embrace my strengths in daily life. I am learning to communicate with my husband on a better level instead of getting overwhelmed with self doubt and depression. I feel like a new and improving person these days; compared to the shell I was when first starting out.
