About me

Whether you are a young adult navigating the pressures of school or a parent managing the weight of your family’s needs, finding a moment of calm shouldn't feel like another chore on your list. With 15+ years of experience in mental health, I specialize in teaching practical mindfulness techniques specifically designed to quiet the hum of anxiety, improve focus for ADHD brains, and lift the fog of depression. I will guide you in learning new skills to navigate our complex world and gain control of the patterns you want to change. I provide both the emotional support and advocacy tools your family needs to move from a state of constant survival to one of intentional, grounded connection.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our initial session focuses on creating a comfortable, virtual space where we can begin building a genuine connection and discussing your primary goals for therapy. We will balance this rapport-building with a collaborative review of your history and current needs to ensure our future sessions are both person-centered and clinically focused.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I focus on supporting my clients with reflective listening, practical strategies to help you build the skills you need, and guided mindfulness strategies.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

When I meet clients who are ready to do the work, identify the skills they aren't yet using, and give ideas a try, I know I can help you make progress! I appreciate when you are willing to accept feedback and also really work through what is working for you and what doesn't work for you. I particularly enjoy working with young adults or parents who find themselves in the "sandwich generation".

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based strategies are evidence-based techniques that help you intentionally focus your attention on the present moment while observing your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment. By practicing these skills—such as mindful breathing or body scans—you can create a calm space between your experiences and your reactions, allowing you to respond to life's challenges with greater resilience and less emotional reactivity.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are deeply interconnected. By identifying and reframing unhelpful patterns in your thinking, we can work together to build practical coping skills that lead to lasting positive changes in your everyday life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured, skills-based approach designed to help you balance two seemingly opposite ideas: accepting yourself as you are while also working to change unhelpful behaviors. By learning techniques in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, you can gain practical tools to manage intense emotions and build a life that feels more stable and meaningful.
